Parrity is a web browser designed specifically for the Apple Watch. It leverages the power of your paired iPhone to display dynamic web content on your watch. Whether you want to interact with the content in real time or save it for later, Parrity has got you covered.
Key Features:
- A minimalist yet familiar user interface that fully functions as a web browser.
- Select and visit websites directly using Siri or Scribble, with a user-friendly URL composition interface.
- Easily share websites from Safari by enabling the Parrity option in the "More" section of the Share panel.
- Search the web using popular engines like Google, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia, Amazon, IMDb, and more.
- Page caching allows you to toggle between open pages even when your iPhone is out of range. Load multiple pages in advance and keep them open indefinitely!
- Basic history management provides a record of all visited pages, which you can clear at any time if desired.
- Seamless tap-based interaction for clicking links and triggering events.
- Pre-load pages on your phone and effortlessly push them to your watch, making tasks like signing in more convenient.
- Includes a watch face complication for quick and easy access to Parrity's main features.
Known Quirks:
- The iPhone app needs to be launched at least once after installation to prevent consistent appearance of blank white pages. Don't forget to accept the End-User License Agreement while you're at it!
- Occasionally struggles with handling multiple redirects.
- May encounter difficulties with unconventionally lazy-loaded content (e.g., no support for Twitter).
- Non-hyperlink taps may not always trigger the expected action.
- May require additional refreshing to ensure the accurate state of a page due to varying load times and potential post-load JavaScript layout changes.
- Does not support horizontal or nested scrolling.
- No ability to input text into text fields.
